This course is designed to meet the OPITO standard and train personnel to serve as a Offshore Emergency Response Team Member and Emergency Helideck Team Member on an offshore installation.
Pre-requisite training for delegates is possession of a current BOSIET or FOET certificate or suitable alternative programme.
Delegates successfully completing the course will have
gained knowledge and experience in:
Selecting and using firefighting equipment.
Extinguishing a fire and / or securing an area in specific
environments.
Locating and handling casualties.
Using breathing apparatus and associated equipment.
Maintaining communications appropriate to specific
environments.
Gain an understanding of team work elements.
Have an understanding of detector systems.
Understand the hazards appropriate to specific roles.
Certificates carry an expiry date, requiring the holder to undertake 'Further Training' in line with the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines.
