FireFighting
Offshore Emergency Response Team Member.
OERTM (OPITO) Duration 5 days.

This course is designed to meet the OPITO standard to train personnel to serve as a member of an Offshore Emergency Response Team on an offshore installation.

Delegates on this course must hold a current BOSIET or FOET certificate or suitable alternative certification.

On successful completion, delegates will have achieved practical knowledge of:
Working as part of a fire team.
How to respond in an emergency situation.
The confidence required to use fire equipment competently & safely.

Maintaining a state of readiness and responding to emergencies.
Entering incident areas safely.
Rescuing personnel.
Carrying out firefighting operations using fixed and/or portable firefighting equipment.
Maintaining communications in accordance with procedures & ensure appropriate persons are notified.

Certificates carry an expiry date, requiring the holder to undertake 'Further Training' in line with the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines.
Course fees include:
OPITO certification & registration.
Assessment costs.
Log book registration.
