This course is designed to meet the OPITO training
standard for further practice requirements not
achievable offshore and to give HLO's experience while
conducting / controlling HDA’s during live - fire scenarios.
The certificate carries an expiry date, requiring the holder
to undertake 'Further Training' in line with OPITO standards.
Pre-requisite training for delegates on this course is that
they hold a current Helideck Team Member certificate or suitable alternative, and are preferably in possession of a Helicopter Landing Officers certificate.
Delegates who successfully complete the course will
have gained knowledge and experience of:
Controlling the preparations for a Helideck emergency.
Controlling the response to emergencies.
