This course is designed to meet the current OPITO standards for the operation of Offshore Helicopter Refuelling Systems. These standards describe typical design, procedural and maintenance requirements for offshore fuelling systems. Training is carried out on Petans
full size Helicopter Training Complex in Norwich, using JET- A1 fuel.
Recommend refresher training interval for this course is every two years.
Delegates successfully completing the course will have
gained knowledge and experience of:
Handling aviation fuel in offshore situations
The operating procedures for receipt of aviation fuel.
The operating procedures for storage of aviation fuel.
Safely refuelling helicopters onboard the installation.
Recognising the dangers of static discharge
from helicopters.

Please not that if required, this course can be delivered offshore but in that instance, it does not carry OPITO approval. OPITO certification can only be granted on courses undertaken at Petans Training Centre.
