Designed to meet the OPITO standard to train personnel required to serve as a member of an Emergency Helideck Team on an offshore installation.

Prerequisite training
Possession of a current BOSIET or FOET certificate or suitable alternative.

Course content
Delegates are trained as members of a team required to respond to emergencies on offshore helidecks, which includes maintaining the Helideck in a state of readiness and carrying out all equipment checks. Delegates successfully completing the course will have gained knowledge and experience of:

• Assisting during normal operations
• Identifying hazards relating to offshore helicopter operations
• Maintaining, cleaning and carrying out service checks on BA sets
• Responding to the appropriate alarms and safely entering the incident area
• Carrying out firefighting operations
• Rescue of personnel

Recommended refresher training
Holder should undertake Further Training in line with the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines.
