This course is designed to meet the OPITO initial training
and assessment requirements of all prospective
Emergency Response Rescue Vessel Crewmembers.
Training is carried out at Petans purpose-built Offshore
Survival Training Platform at Lake Lothing, Oulton Broad,
Lowestoft which is equipped with a variety of rigid
survival craft including Watercraft 50 and 54 man, and
Whittaker 28 and 54 man types.
The main focus of the course is emergency response in
the offshore industry and basic medical aid onboard an
emergency response vessel.
The course is both theory and practical based,
performance monitored by continuous assessment.
Delegates must complete the medical questionnaire.
OPITO certification will be awarded to successful
delegates.
