Designed to meet the OPITO Approved Standard in training personnel to take charge as Coxswain of a Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC). Delegates can train on twin and/or single fall types of craft.

Prerequisite training
Possession of a current OPITO approved BOSIET or FOET certificate or suitable alternative.

Course content
Delegates successfully completing the course will have achieved practical knowledge of:

• Take charge of an assigned TEMPSC
• Launch and recover single and/or twin fall TEMPSC and move off to a safe area (using realistic platform abandonment exercises at sea)
• Establish and maintain communications with installations and support vessels
• Maintain safety of personnel and TEMPSC, including man overboard and towing exercises
• Disembarking and transferring of personnel
• Practice good seamanship

Recommended refresher training
Holder should undertake Further Training in line with the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines.
