Designed to meet the OPITO Approved Standard in training personnel to continue to take charge as Coxswain of a Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC). Delegates can train on twin and/or single fall types of craft.

Prerequisite training
Possession of a current OPITO approved BOSIET or FOET certificate or suitable alternative and current OPITO Approved Coxswain certificate.

Course content
Delegates successfully completing the course will have acquired further training to refresh and assess their competence in the range of skills already undertaken during initial Coxswain training, as listed below:

Take charge of an assigned TEMPSC
Launch and recover single and/or twin fall TEMPSC and move off to a safe area (using realistic platform abandonment exercises at sea)
Establish and maintain communications with installations and support vessels
Maintain safety of personnel and TEMPSC, including man overboard and towing exercises
Disembarking and transferring of personnel
Practice good seamanship

Recommended refresher training
Holder should undertake Further Training in line with the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines.
