Designed to meet the OPITO Approved Standard in training personnel to take charge as Coxswain of an Emergency Response Vessel away from the Standby Vessel but within UK legislation.

Prerequisite training
Possession of a current OPITO Approved Fast Rescue Craft Coxswain certificate held for a minimum of 3 months.

Course content
Delegates will learn proficiency in:

• Pilotage
• Launch and recovery
• Navigation IRPCS
• Use of radar and GPS
• Passage and field planning
• Emergency self rescue
• Training is theoretical and practical with oral and written assessment

Recommended refresher training
Holder should undertake Further Training in line with the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines.
