Designed to meet the OPITO Approved Standard in training personnel to take charge as Boatman of a Fast Rescue Craft.

Prerequisite training
Possession of a current OPITO approved Initial Training Shipboard Operations certificate and have at least 3 months sea service.

Course content
Delegates successfully completing the course will learn proficiency in:

• FRC launch and recovery
• Casualty recovery and onboard handling procedures
• Emergency response and self rescue
• VHF procedures
• Basic boat handling at sea

Recommended refresher training
Holder should undertake Further Training in line with the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines.
