The course is designed to give an understanding of the
implementation of 'goal setting' regulations, the need for safety
management systems and the assessment of risk.
The course is provided for all persons having involvement with
fixed and mobile installations on and offshore who are required to
have knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment
and the importance of ensuring compliance with legislation.
The course includes practical examples, case studies, question
and answer sessions and open discussion to demonstrate the
requirements of legislation.

The Safety case. Management Systems. Identification of major hazards.
Assessment of risk. Requirements of the Health and Safety at Work
Act and European legislation. Specific legislation and approved
codes of practice relating to the oil and gas industry.
