The course is designed to provide a basic working knowledge
of emergency procedures / practices involved in
self rescue from helicopters.
This training forms part of the Basic Offshore Safety
courses run by Petans for the UK Offshore Petroleum
Industry Training Organisation and its counterparts in
Denmark, the Netherlands & Norway.
The training involves the use of our helicopter escape simulator (HUET).
The training and Petans certificate is recognised
throughout the world for personnel required to travel in
helicopters offshore.
Course includes:
Using the correct helicopter escape practices & procedures.
Using helicopter personal survival equipment.
Familiarisation & correct use of heliraft.
