Offshore Oil & Gas Industry Minimum Industry Safety Training

Course content

The aim of the MIST programme is to introduce delegates to the key safety elements required by all employees working in the oil and gas industry. It also ensures the knowledge and understanding of these basic safety elements are maintained and current amongst the existing workforce.

Delegates successfully completing the course will have gained knowledge of:

  • Introduction to the hazards offshore environment
  • Working safely
  • Risk assessment
  • Permit to work
  • Asset integrity
  • Manual handling
  • Working at height
  • Mechanical lifting

Recommended refresher training

Reassessment online every four years or more frequently if persons have not worked offshore for at least 12 months.

Course fees include:

  • OPITO certification and registration
  • Vantage registration
  • Course certification in Log Book
