This comprehensive training is essential for working safely as part of a confined space rescue and recovery team. Delegates will review legal requirements, maintain safety compliance, prepare procedures and documentation, and plan effective responses for emergency rescue and recovery operations.

Delegates will learn how to:

Recognise the hazards linked to confined space work and rescue activities
Identify different types of escape breathing apparatus and self-contained breathing apparatus
Select suitable rescue equipment for different scenarios
Complete pre-entry and pre-wearer equipment checks
Understand why equipment requires regular inspections
Apply emergency procedures when working in confined spaces
Prepare and carry out rescue plans
Use reporting systems and understand what must be reported and when
